Features
Power Handling: AudioControl describes the continuous power handling (RMS) as follows:
- Min: 300 watts
- Ideal: 500 watts
- Max: 700 watts
Terminals: The spring post terminals accept pin connectors, single and dual banana plugs (standard ¾" wide dual banana plugs), and bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Grille: The removable grille is mounted under the rubber gasket/mounting-ring. With the grille in place the sub's mounting height is approximately 1⅜".
Sealed Box Volume: The recommended sealed box volume range is from 0.75 ft³ to 1.15 ft³, with 0.9 ft³ being the ideal size. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable for all types of music.
Ported Box Volume: The recommended ported box volume range is from 0.75 ft³ to 1.25 ft³. The ideal size is 1.0 ft³ with a slot port measuring 11½" x 1½" x 28½", resulting in a tuning frequency of 37 Hz and a -3 dB point of 30 Hz. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed, maximizing bass output for a given amplifier.
