AudioControl has 45 years of experience bringing great sound to car audio. Their new Space Series of shallow-mount subwoofers continues their legacy, delivering deep, full bass in a package that fits into the smaller spaces of today's vehicles. The SPC-10S4 10" 4-ohm sub features an injection-moulded fibre matrix polypropylene cone that punches out clean sound even when you're driving it hard.
Weather-resistant design and a wrap-sealed rubber gasket help it stand up to the elements, while its stamped steel frame offers solid support. With 400 watts of RMS power handling, this sub can dish out all the bass you'll need and is suitable for sealed or ported enclosures. A metal mesh protective grille keeps your speaker safe.

Power Handling: AudioControl describes the continuous power handling (RMS) as follows:
- Min: 200 watts
- Ideal: 400 watts
- Max: 600 watts
Terminals: The spring post terminals accept pin connectors, single and dual banana plugs (standard ¾" wide dual banana plugs), and bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Grille: The removable grille is mounted under the rubber gasket/mounting-ring. When using the grille the sub's mounting height is approximately 1.32".
Sealed Box Volume: The recommended sealed box volume range is from 0.4 ft³ to 0.8 ft³, with 0.6 ft³ being the ideal size. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable for all types of music.
Ported Box Volume: The recommended ported box volume range is from 0.9 ft³ to 2.0 ft³. The ideal size is 1.4 ft³ with a slot port measuring 13" x 1¾" x 22¼", resulting in a tuning frequency of 40 Hz and a -3 dB point of 34 Hz. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed, maximizing bass output for a given amplifier.
