Minimal distortion

Alpine optimizes their R2-S65 6-1/2" 2-way speakers for near-perfect sound from premium sources. The combination of a highly rigid aluminum frame and a lightweight glass-fibre reinforced woofer cone keeps the sound clean. The high-amplitude multi-roll surround maximizes impact while maintaining linearity, so you'll get punch to go with the clarity. And speaking of a little more punch, Alpine ups the mid-bass output with a ferrite magnet and larger motor structure.

Loud and fun

All the exquisite detail you need is handled by a 1" magnesium hard dome tweeter, which contributes to the "loud and fun" sound associated with Alpine's R-Series. These speakers make a great addition to any high-powered system, thanks to power-handling up to 100 watts RMS. Hook ‘em up and play ‘em loud!

Size Note: Alpine describes this speaker size as 6½, but because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6½, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size as 6¾. Without adapter brackets the speakers fit many standard 6¾ applications. Using the included adapter brackets, they can also be mounted in a variety of 6½ and 6¾ applications. HAMR Surround: The R-Series speakers incorporate Alpine's patented High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround, a technology developed for Alpine subwoofers that maintains control and stability at higher volume levels.
